雖然就電影公司高層或是導演們來說，漫威與 DC 之間其實從來就不存在著敵對與仇恨，比較像是良好的競爭關係，從彼此的經驗中互相學習，帶給觀眾更好的作品。但是對觀眾來說，似乎一定要有個高下才算數，而日前《星際異攻隊》（Guardians of the Galaxy）系列編導詹姆斯岡恩（James Gunn）也再對此表達了看法。
「每一次我提到關於 DC 的任何東西時，無論如何，我的動態牆就會變成無止盡的《蝙蝠俠對超人：正義曙光》（Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice）叫囂大賽。你們永遠無法說服對方的，這只是在浪費力氣。至少當你們在針對川普互相叫囂時，還是個具有國際性意義的事情。但這已經是一部上映兩年的電影，有些人喜歡、有些人不喜歡，為什麼某些人的意見對你來說還這麼重要？作為漫威與 DC 的超級粉絲，你們在彼此身上有更多的共同點。所以，為什麼你們要花費那麼多的時間怒視彼此？這很傻的，請停止吧，停止以這樣的方式交戰。但最至少，當你們這麼做的時候，不要標記我，我已經將多數人的聲音消除了，但不是全部，謝謝。」
